Emergency Foil Blanket with Value Pack Options

An emergency foil blanket, also known as a space blanket, rescue blanket, mylar blanket, emergency blanket, thermal blanket and weather blanket is typically used by emergency services to prevent/counter hypothermia and shock.

These Mylar blankets look like large sheets of aluminium foil and they work by reflecting heat back in towards the wearer. People lose heat through evaporation and convection. The blankets help them regulate their body temperature by keeping warmth in and preventing evaporation.

A threefold action facilitates this: The airtight foil reduces convection. Heat loss caused by evaporation of perspiration, moisture or loss of blood is minimized by the same mechanism. To a limited extent the reflective surface inhibits losses caused by thermal radiation.
